PFORZHEIM, Germany - AMI DODUCO, a unit of Technitrol (NYSE: TNL) is demonstrating its full line of electronic coating materials and services at the electronics exhibition Productronica, held November 9-12 in Munich. The company will feature its various conductive plating products and materials, including the new DODUSTAN® electroless chemical tin treatment, as well as its precious metal recovery services.
“AMI DODUCO provides the printed circuit board market with an end-to-end solution – from plating materials to plated products to recovery services,” said Karl-Heinz Funke, Senior Vice President of AMI DODUCO’s European Business Unit. “What’s more, we can leverage these advanced coating technologies to develop new electrical contact parts and components for automotive, appliance and other low-voltage applications.”
Introduced earlier in 1999, DODUSTAN® provides a more precise and complete coating at much lower temperatures than traditional tin-lead conductive coatings applied at high temperatures. As a result, printed circuit board manufacturers can design much smaller circuitry to reduce the size of portable electronic devices such as cellular phones and laptop computers. In addition, because it eliminates lead from the tin-coating process, DODUSTAN® is better for the environment and more resistant to oxidation than traditional processes.
The biannual Productronica is Europe’s largest showcase for equipment, materials, and other products for the manufacturing and quality control of electronic devices. Electronics manufacturers from around the world will attend the exhibition. Customers are invited to visit AMI DODUCO’s booth in Hall B3, Stand B3.326.
