EXPORT, PA – AMI DODUCO will present a technical paper, “Tungsten and Tungsten Carbide Based Contact Materials Used in Low Voltage Vacuum Contactors,” at the 1999 45th IEEE Holm Conference on Electrical Contacts October 4-6 in Pittsburgh.
The paper evaluates several contact material formulations for low-voltage vacuum switches used in environments in which open arcing is undesirable. The formulations were evaluated based on ability to maintain consistent conductivity while minimizing erosion and unwanted electrical phenomena.
The annual Holm Conference, which began in 1953, is one of the world’s leading engineering forums on electrical contacts and related subjects. At the 1999 conference, papers from experts in Austria, China, England, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States will be presented.
