AMI DODUCO announced that its facilities in Madrid, Spain, and Sinsheim, Germany, passed certification audits for the QS9000 international quality system standard. The Sinsheim and Madrid facilities, which have been ISO 9000 certified since 1993 and 1995, respectively, strengthened their quality systems even further to meet the more stringent requirements of QS9000.

“These QS9000 certifications are important elements of AMI DODUCO’s Total Quality System.” said James J. Rafferty, Jr., President of AMI DODUCO. “They are the result of our ongoing effort to remain a global quality leader in electrical contacts and to continue growing our position as a key supplier to the automobile industry.”

Sinsheim and Madrid are AMI DODUCO´s primary facilities supplying automotive manufacturers, who increasingly require QS9000 quality systems. The QS9000 standard is more comprehensive than ISO9000, covering additional processes such as products approval, product quality planning, application of quality tools and a continuous improvement program. In addition, it requires an even higher level of compliance with established procedures in all areas.
